The Plains Art Museum has a nice collection of Native American and contemporary art. Unfortunately, they do not allow photography inside the museum or I’d be showing a few of the pieces that really caught my eye. Most of the contemporary artists had ties to North Dakota or the midwest.

The temporary exhibit of prints, sculptures and books by Chakaia Booker had some unique pieces. Several of the sculptures were made from automobile tires.
