The Las Cruces Museum of Nature and Science is another small museum. There are exhibits showing fossils found in the area, astronomy, and animals from the area. There were also several local reptiles, amphibians, and other creatures. The museum also had some hands-on exhibits geared toward younger visitors.

Two nice things about the Branigan Cultural Center, the Museum of Art, and the Museum of Nature and Science: the three are all next to each other, and the admission was free. The trio provided a nice way to spend a couple hours.
