Las Cruces Railroad Museum

The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is a pretty typical example of a small town museum housed in a former railroad depot. There was a collection of items used when the depot was an active station. There was also a room with two model railroads. I would have liked to see more narrative about how important the railroad was to the development of Las Cruces.
The Railroad Museum did not charge admission, and was a good way to spend about 45 minutes.

The Centennial Caboose, built in 1890 and retired in the 1960s. Unfortunately it was not open to go inside.
