SOUTHERN BELLE RIVERBOAT FALL FOLIAGE CRUISE
151 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN 37402
With a forecast of sunny and temps in the upper 70s, I decided to book a Fall Foliage Cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat. This 3-hour cruise through the Grand Canyon of the Tennessee River, the Tennessee River Gorge, provided a relaxing afternoon with beautiful scenery, even with cloud cover that muted some of the colors. Near the end of the cruise the rare sight of two deer swimming across the river caused some excitement.
Before departure it appeared that people were practicing for a regatta of some type and there were some teens enjoying sliding down the hill on pieces of cardboard.

The "For Sale" sign had several people on the riverboat talking.
This would probably all I could afford to build after purchasing land here. Also, notice the steep road in the back...I prefer the flat roads of Iowa.
The green plant maintained by someone was pretty, just seemed a little out of place.
Saw several Great Blue Herons along the river. I really didn't have the right camera lens to capture this one flying, but I tried.
Our captain got quite excited and shut the riverboat down when he saw these two deer swimming across the river.
