COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM
222 Rep. John Lewis Way S, Nashville, TN 37203
“The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, is one of the world's largest museums and research centers dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of American vernacular music. Chartered in 1964, the museum has amassed one of the world's most extensive musical collections.” - Wikipedia
This was my second visit to the Hall of Fame, the first coming about 13 years ago. Not much has changed, some of the exhibits have changed, but overall it was pretty much as I remember it.
This museum is filled with instruments, clothing, awards, and other memorabilia belonging to the greatest performers of country music through the years. If you like country music you are certain to find something to like here. The tour is self-guided, which tends to be very crowded at the beginning but evens out as you progress through the hall. You can rent an audio device which allows you to listen to descriptions and anecdotal information of several of the exhibits.
The Wall of Gold Records and the Hall of Fame were quite impressive.
