BOOT HILL MUSEUM

500 W Wyatt Earp Blvd, Dodge City, Kansas 67801

“Boot Hill Museum is an American historical museum located in Dodge City, Kansas. A non-profit entity, the mission of the museum is to preserve the history of the Old West with emphasis on Dodge City. There are over 20,000 artifacts in the complex, including more than 200 original guns.” -  Wikipedia

The museum tells the story of Dodge City’s past and then lets you investigate the businesses that may have made up and old west city Main Street. One can get a sarsaparilla at the Long Branch Saloon, check out the doctor’s office, visit the jail, and view the undertakers tools. Twice a day visitors are entertained with a gun fight between the sheriff and some cattle rustlers.

I took in the evening show, which included a very tasty roast beef dinner. The show was cheesy, but entertaining.
