AMANA LILY POND TRAIL
Between Amana and Middle Amana
I decided to hike the 2.5 mile trail around the Lily Pond on Friday evening. I was amazed at all the birds I saw along the way. Luckily, I had my camera with me and was able to capture several different birds. About 3/4 of the way around the pond I saw two swans, which I wasn’t expecting. The light for taking pictures was marginal, but I did capture the two.
I decided to go back on Sunday to see if I could get some better pictures of the swans. I didn’t see the swans on this trip, but I did see a muskrat swimming near the shore. I was also able to get pictures of a couple birds that I have no idea what kind they are.
Canadian Geese flying by.
American Coot (thought they were ducks until I did some internet searching)
Not sure what type of bird this is.

This guy kept his eye on me the whole time I walked by.

Both swans and some coot.
